Why We Built Shareduled - Our Story
Joseph started Shareduled in Toronto with a simple vision: every service business should offer the same seamless booking experience that UBER provides for transportation.
The idea for Shareduled came from a frustrating personal experience. Joseph needed to book a massage appointment "now" but spent more than 2 hours calling different places only to play phone tag!
That's when he realized service businesses needed better tools, and customers deserved real-time availability.
With a background in software engineering and a passion for solving real business problems, Joseph recognized that appointment scheduling was broken worldwide. Customers had to call during business hours, leave voicemails, and wait for callbacks. Business owners lost revenue to no-shows and spent hours managing calendars instead of serving clients.
"Just like UBER transformed how we get around cities worldwide, I knew we could transform how appointments are booked globally," says Joseph. "The solution needed to be as simple as requesting a ride - see availability, book instantly, pay automatically."
